Booking

Fill in the availability form on the homepage or message us directly on WhatsApp at +94 77 990 3257. We will confirm availability, talk through your route, and tell you exactly which documents to prepare before you arrive.
No deposit at all. You pay for the rental at the point of pickup. There are no hidden fees or advance charges.
We recommend booking at least 7–14 days in advance so you have time to prepare the documents for the local driving permit. During peak season (December–March) earlier is better.
Yes. Just message us on WhatsApp as soon as possible. We are flexible and will do our best to accommodate changes to your dates or route.
Yes. We currently offer a vehicle drop-and-pickup service for the Ambewela–Ella and Haputale train sections, with more routes coming soon. Ask us about this when you book.

Licence

Yes — Sri Lankan law requires a local three-wheeler driving permit, issued by AAC (Automobile Association of Ceylon) in Colombo. Before you arrive we send you the document checklist and walk you through each step, so it is ready for pickup day.
A clear photo of the front and back of your home country driving licence, plus a photo of the bio-data page of your passport. Send these via WhatsApp and we tell you what to do next.
Allow at least 7 working days. We strongly recommend preparing your documents as soon as you book so you can complete the permit well before your arrival date.
We do not charge a separate fee for helping you prepare. The permit itself is issued by AAC (Automobile Association of Ceylon) and its fee is paid directly to them.

Insurance

Yes. Full insurance coverage is included in every rental. You are covered for the duration of your trip at no extra cost.
Each tuk tuk comes with a full tool kit and a spare wheel. We are available on WhatsApp 365 days a year. For any mechanical issue we cannot resolve remotely, we will arrange roadside assistance or a replacement vehicle.

Payment

Rental starts from €9 per day for a single tuk tuk. Groups renting two or more tuk tuks get a discounted rate of €9 per unit per day. Use the code TUKNEGOMBO for 10% off your first booking.
We accept payment in Euros, British Pounds, US Dollars, and Sri Lankan Rupees. Payment is made in cash at pickup — no card machines are needed.
Use code TUKNEGOMBO for 10% off any booking. For rentals of 7 days or more, message us on WhatsApp to discuss the best rate.
No. The daily rate includes the tuk tuk, insurance, driving permit guidance, and our 365-day WhatsApp support. You pay for fuel during the trip. That is it.

Routes

Yes. We offer one-way rentals to various destinations around Sri Lanka. Let us know your planned route when you enquire and we will confirm drop-off options and any applicable fees.
The coastal route from Negombo to Mirissa, the highland loop through Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Ella, and the cultural triangle around Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa are all popular. We can suggest itineraries based on your trip length.
No — tuk tuks are not permitted on Sri Lankan expressways. We will brief you on permitted roads and recommended routes when you collect the vehicle.
Yes. We currently support drop-and-pickup for the Nanu Oya–Ella and Haputale scenic train sections. This lets you enjoy the train journey and continue by tuk tuk from the destination station. More routes are coming soon.
