Sri Lanka is one of the beautiful countries that attract a lot tourists because of its amazing landscapes, sandy beaches and cultural diversity. Recently, a cyclone affected the country, especially many parts of upcountry. Now, roads are clear and safe to travel except upcountry.
- Travelling from Negombo to Tangalla along the coast is find and safe.
- The route from Tangalla to Ella would be safe and sound. Most of the areas in upcountry is affected by cyclone but the road towards Ella is interrupted.
- Trip from Negombo to Sigiriya through Giriulla, Kurunegala is find and safe. Trip from Negombo to Kandy via Kurunegala is find and safe.
The main road and the sub roads from Ella to Nuwara Eliya are badly damaged and it would take couple of weeks to get them repaid.
Further, Train journey from Kandy to Ella or Ella to Kandy will be interrupted for next couple of weeks due to landsides.
Travelling by Tuk Tuk from Negombo to South, Sigiriya, and Kandy is safe and comfortable.
